"Technology"
refers to any skills processes applied to bamboo or rattan. As such
it encompases a very wide range of processes from cultivation, management
and harvesting, through primary processing such as preservation
or splitting, to the production of products such as boards, furniture
or chopsticks. INBAR produces "Technology Pages", a continuing
series that give basic information on various technologies and on
how they can help improve livelihoods and the environment. Further
information on the technologies is available in our Transfer of
Technology Models.
