Tripura State in Northeast India is surrounded
on three sides by Bangladesh. The State's relative physical
isolation has left many people unable to make a viable living,

offers many opportunities for income generation. INBAR works
with the Tripura Bamboo and Cane Centre, an NGO established
in 2002 that supports development with bamboo and rattan in
the State and implements the project on Community-based
