Bamboo Housing Construction Workshop

Ghana

The main objective of this programme was to raise awareness about bamboo as a sustainable building material and potential solution to nationwide building shortages in Ghana. This was achieved through a south-to-south transfer of bamboo building technology from south Asia, resulting in the construction of a demonstration school in Kumasi, as well as the hosting of a national workshop.
