This project consists of a four months feasibility study with the purpose to inform activities for a potential four-year pilot project on bamboo plantation development in Sarawak. The outcomes will be used to advise Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) on the viability of the pilot project in order to determine future procedures on project implementation. The outcome will also be used to recommend commercial bamboo species for plantations and nurseries. In addition, the study will identify current market opportunities in the bamboo development sectors.
