Even though bamboos have already been extensively used in many national and sub-national restoration programmes, public information about bamboo-based landscape restoration initiatives, and the reasons for their success or failure, is limited. This synthesis report aims to address these knowledge gaps, by collating evidence from nine case studies across China, Colombia, Ghana, India, Nepal, South Africa, Tanzania and Thailand.
