The following is a documentation of information gathered from research on the National Bamboo Project of Costa Rica (Proyecto
National de Bambu-PNB). This case study seeks to evaluate project operations because its success may be significant for all
development practitioners concerned with housing shortages nationally, regionally or internationally. It may also be significant for practitioners concerned with development which is environmentally, economically and socially healthy. These are important points for the reduction of poverty in LDCs.
