This paper provides an analysis of the bamboo value chain (BVC) in Ghana and its potential to contribute to the transformation of the economy. Data were collected from resource owners, managers, collectors, processors, marketers and users of bamboo and institutions associated with bamboo in five regions of Ghana (Ashanti, Eastern, Greater Accra, Central and Western). It was produced as part of the Inter-Africa Bamboo Smallholder Farmers Livelihood Development Programme, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). |
