Launched on the final day of the Global Bamboo and Rattan Congress 2018 (held 25-27 June, Beijing, China), the Beijing Declaration recognises bamboo and rattan’s various benefits, and commits “ministers, senior officials and participants” to calling upon national governments and other bodies to implement a number of recommendations.
