This webinar is one session of the International Forest City Conference 2021 (IFCC 2021)

The development of forest cities is getting serious attention from more and more countries and regions in the world as an important gateway to promoting healthy urbanization, mitigating climate change and enabling global green development.

INBAR has been an active participant in the promotion of healthier forest cities and urban forestry ever since the 1st International Forest City Conference 2016, held in Shenzhen, China.

Building on the successful platform of exchanges and cooperation of the first conference, the IFCC 2021 will be held on 6 and 7 April 2021, in Nanjing, China. IFCC 2021 will further facilitate dialogues on new concepts, models and practices that have emerged in the changing landscape of forest city development, promote a healthy progress of forest city building and urbanization in developing countries, and contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Conference is co-sponsored by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China (NFGA), Nanjing Municipal People’s Government and INBAR, and co-organized by the Nanjing Municipal Greening and Landscape Bureau, the International Centre for Bamboo and Rattan and the Urban Forest Research Centre of NFGA.
