Webinar: Bamboo Products and Health
Theme: Bamboo for Health and Welfare
Bamboo has been traditionally used as medicine in Asian countries. With current research and development, there are a number of bamboo-derived products for health and welfare, including medicines, and bamboo extracts for use in antimicrobial, insecticidal, and herbicidal uses, as well as for fresh-keeping and odour-absorbing agents, fertiliser and cleansing agents. Bamboo activated carbon is often used in air and water purification, medical masks, and food processing. This session showcases some of the bamboo and bamboo-derived products with applications for health and welfare.
