The Dutch-Sino-East Africa Bamboo Development Programme is a triangular South-South cooperation with the aim of supporting livelihood development, food security and better environmental management in East Africa by developing robust bamboo value chains and a sustainable bamboo industry in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. As part of Phase II of the programme, a gender analysis (GA) study was deemed necessary to assist with streamlining the programme for systematic operationalisation and the attainment of gender-responsive goals.
