This Working Paper analyses the bamboo stocks present in Vietnam, using remote-sensing methodology. The assessment finds that there are 1.5 million hectares of pure and mixed bamboo forest in Vietnam, accounting for over 10% of the country’s total forest area and 5% of the total country area. This assessment was conducted as part of the Global Assessment of Bamboo and Rattan for green development (GABAR). |
