This TOTEM on high yielding bamboo plantations for paper and pulp manufacturing has been produced by the Research Institute for Subtropical Forestry (RISF) of the Chinese Academy of Forestry. It can be used in conjunction with the TOTEMs on Bamboo Papermaking, Homestead Bamboo Plantations, Medium and Large scale Bamboo Plantations and Community bamboo Nurseries. The report part of this TOTEM describes the technology for establishing and managing bamboo plantattions focussing on the consistently high yields required for producing paper and pulp, for rural development in regions where bamboo is available as a raw material. It is intended to be used in conjunction with the illustrattive film included in this TOTEM package.
