Professor Haitao Li
Professor Haitao Li is Deputy Head of the Department of Building Engineering, College of Civil Engineering, at the Nanjing Forestry University, China. He is also Vice Director of the Administrative Committee of Zhenjiang Science and Technology. He holds a PhD degree in Structural Engineering (Joint training by Tongji University and the University of Western Australia). He also hold an MS degree in Structural Engineering and a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Zhengzhou University.
Professor Haitao Li’s research encompasses sustainable structures (including bamboo, wood structure and other biomass material structures), composite structures (CFRP, BFRP, GFRP, AFRP etc), concrete structures, and retrofit of concrete and timber (bamboo) structures.
He has been the principal investigator on more than 12 research fund projects, including from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 40 research papers in refereed scientific journals and obtained more than 30 Chinese granted patents – nine of which are Invention Patents.
Professor Haitao Li is a member of the Bamboo/Wood Structure Committee, Jiangsu Civil Architecture Society, and is a reviewer for a number of journals including: the Journal of Structural Engineering ASCE (SCI&EI), Composites Part B: Engineering (SCI&EI), BioResources (SCI&EI), Journal of wood science (SCI&EI), Journal of Polymers and the Environment (SCI&EI), Construction and Building Materials (SCI&EI), Advances in Structural Engineering (SCI&EI) and more.
