Dr. Stephen Tekpetey, Forestry Research Institute of Ghana

Stephen L Tekpetey is a Research Scientist and lecturer in the area of Wood Science and Technology with a specialisation in Bamboo Technology. He holds a doctorate d,egree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghan, with the research topic ‘Addressing the underutilisation of bamboo resources in Ghana’. He has worked extensively on the technological properties of bamboo in Ghana and also on the processing and utilisation of bamboo and rattan resources in Ghana with scientists at Forestry Research Institute of Ghana. He is a first recipient of the INBAR/ICBR Open Key Scholarship for bamboo research for developing countries in 2006. He has authored a book on bamboo resources in Ghana and published a number of scientific articles on bamboo and rattan resources in Ghana.
